Recently, I had a conversation with my colleague who had just returned from a business trip with a client about the use and maintenance of their equipment. I found that some client companies do not have professional or slightly knowledgeable supporting personnel for machinery and electrical appliances. Therefore, I specifically discussed and collected relevant knowledge with the electrical and design team members to study the maintenance and upkeep of the mechanical and electrical parts, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
Electrical Part - Pneumatic Systems
The basic components of a pneumatic system are: air source (compressed air machine), air flow transmission system, air flow processing system, and equipment consumption.
(1) Air source
The device that generates air is based on compressed air as the working medium. The air source device provides a compressed air power source that meets the requirements for pneumatic equipment (such as the box opening vacuum of the packaging machine, the forming cylinder of the folding machine, and the glue spraying system of the sealing machine). The electric pressure generation device, the purification treatment of compressed air, and the transmission pipeline are composed.
1. Air compressor
An air compressor, abbreviated as an air pressure generating device, converts the mechanical energy of the prime mover into the pressure energy of compressed air.
(1) Type of air compressor:
1) Classification based on working principles:
Positive displacement air compressor: The increase in gas pressure is caused by the reduction of the working air volume inside the air compressor, which increases the density of gas molecules per unit volume. Positive displacement air compressors can be divided into piston type, diaphragm type, and screw type according to their different structures.
Speed air compressors: The increase in gas pressure is caused by the sudden obstruction of gas molecules during high-speed flow, which converts kinetic energy into pressure energy. Speed air compressors can be divided into centrifugal and axial flow tissue packaging according to their different structures.
2) Classification by output pressure:
Low pressure air compressor: output pressure within the range of 0.2-1.0MPa;
Medium pressure air compressor: output pressure within the range of 1.0-10MPa;
High pressure air compressor: output pressure within the range of 10-100MPa;
Classified by output flow:
Micro air compressor: output flow rate less than 1m ³/ Min;
Small air compressor: output flow rate between 1-10m ³/ Min;
Medium air compressor: output flow rate between 10-100m ³/ Min;
Large air compressor: output flow rate at 100m ³/ Min or more;
(2) Working principle of air compressor:
1) Working principle of piston air compressor:
The piston and connecting rod are fixedly connected together, and there are intake and exhaust valves on the cylinder. When the connecting rod extends outward under external force, the piston also moves downward, increasing the volume in the cylinder and reducing the pressure to less than atmospheric pressure. At this time, the exhaust valve is sealed under the pressure difference between the inside and outside. At the same time, the intake valve automatically opens under this pressure difference, and air enters the cylinder from the intake valve. When the connecting rod retracts inward under the action of external force, the piston also moves upwards, causing air
